Fine stones are gemstones that are not classified among the four gemstones. Although sometimes called semi-precious, this term (as well as the term semi-fine) is prohibited in commerce, in France, by a decree of January 14, 2002.

Fine stones are defined by a list of the Confédération de Bijouterie-Joailleire-Orfèvrerie des Diamonds, Pearls, and Precious Stones (CIBJO) drawn up in 1970 in Zurich, which considers them to be minerals extracted from natural deposits.

These gems are used in particular in jewelry. These include: amethyst, citrine, garnet, aquamarine, topaz, alexandrite, zircon ...

These stones, each more beautiful than the next, will shine like the colors of a rainbow.
